Subject: southern funk, better & better

Phil keeps it real w/ awesome members every year! CR is my homeboy and the country/groovy feel is great. the show sounds ok, lots of bass...but more philling.

Cannot believe how beautiful Chris sounds on one of my favorite tunes - he absolutely NAILS PeggyO with a soulful and emotional voice. Great show - this version of P&F is sounding better and better - hope Chris stays around awhile - he is sounding super.

the music flowed all night long. chris is doing a wonderful job. larry's mandolin and fiddle playing is great. of course phil is the man. so nice to be able to have this download. also thanks to the atlanta hostil just down the road!!

Subject: A long wait for Southern Heads

Phil's new country-inflected sound is a perfect fit for this southern venue. The hybrid rock/ country sound works real well on a lot of Dead tunes. I also noticed more than a few of the tunes they picked had southern references.

amazing show... liked it more than the following night....highlights for me are peggy o (sweet robinson voice) and uncle john's (larry's mandolin is fantastic) viola is also great.... way to go phil ... another beauty
